Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Junior Accountant role at Plekhanov University's Dubai campus in the United Arab Emirates.
The role is for a fluent Russian speaker and supports daily accounting, reporting, compliance, audits, and financial communication.
The position works closely with senior accounting staff and internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Record transactions, maintain ledgers, and reconcile bank and account statements.
- Prepare basic financial reports and support budgeting and expense tracking.
- Help ensure compliance with university financial policies and local regulations.
- Support audits, process invoices, and manage documentation in Russian and English.
- Communicate with departments and external partners to clarify financial information.
- Provide timely support on accounting queries.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, reconciliations, and basic financial statements.
- Fluent spoken and written Russian and good command of English.
- Experience or training with accounting or ERP software.
- Solid Microsoft Excel and office productivity tool skills.
- High attention to detail, accurate data entry, and systematic financial record management.
- Ability to follow processes, meet deadlines, and collaborate in a multicultural academic environment.
- Bachelor's degree or current study in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of basic UAE financial practices or willingness to learn local regulations and standards.
- Integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial information.
