This is a full-time, on-site Dean of Academic Affairs role at Plekhanov University in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The Dean oversees academic programs, institutional policy adherence, teaching quality, curriculum planning, academic performance, and student success.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate curriculum planning and monitor academic performance indicators.
- Lead initiatives to improve program quality and student success.
- Manage faculty workload and development and support student affairs activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on accreditation and compliance matters.
- Represent the academic unit in strategic planning and participate in budget discussions.
- Communicate effectively in Russian and English with faculty, staff, and students.
Qualifications
- Expertise in accreditation processes and quality assurance under relevant higher education standards.
- Strong experience in curriculum development, program design, and academic offering review.
- Proficiency in academic administration, policy implementation, academic scheduling, and academic staff oversight.
- Knowledge of enrollment management, recruitment, admissions, and retention strategies.
- Background in student affairs, student engagement, advising, and academic support services.
- Fluency in Russian and professional proficiency in English.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field, preferably education, management, economics, or a related discipline.
- Experience in an international or cross-cultural academic environment, ideally in the Middle East or CIS region.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
