Roadside Assistance, Repair & Vehicle Care Mechanic

Job Summary

Work Arrangement

• The role is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
• The work is on-site and field-based, requiring travel to vehicle incident locations.

Roadside Assistance

• Respond to breakdown, malfunction, or stranded-vehicle alerts in the field.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicles on site.
• Coordinate recovery or towing when on-site repair is not possible.
• Keep the operations team updated on incident status and expected resolution.

Repair and Maintenance

• Perform routine and corrective mechanical, electrical, or component-level repairs as trained and authorized.
• Diagnose recurring faults and escalate specialist issues to technical or engineering teams.
• Maintain repair logs, parts records, and vehicle service histories.
• Support preventive maintenance schedules.

Exterior Care and Cleaning

• Perform body condition checks, minor touch-ups, and coating or wrap maintenance.
• Report scratches, dents, wrap wear, and other damage for repair or replacement.
• Clean vehicle interiors and exteriors according to company SOPs.
• Maintain visual and cleanliness standards for customer-facing units.

Reporting and Coordination

• Log roadside assistance, repair, and maintenance activities in the operations system.
• Coordinate with staging and charging site staff to schedule vehicle downtime.
• Prepare reports on incident volume, repair turnaround time, and recurring issues.

Qualifications and Experience

• A diploma, vocational qualification, or equivalent in automotive, mechanical, or electrical maintenance is preferred.
• Relevant hands-on experience may substitute for the preferred qualification.
• Experience in vehicle maintenance, roadside assistance, fleet servicing, or similar field roles is preferred.
• Experience with electric vehicles, robotics, or autonomous vehicle systems is a plus.

Essential Requirements

• A valid UAE driving licence and own vehicle are mandatory.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and basic repair skills are required.
• Good working English is required; Arabic is a plus.
• The candidate must be willing to work outdoors, in the field, and on rotational or on-call shifts.
• The candidate must be physically able to perform maintenance and cleaning tasks and handle basic tools.
