Overview
- Job Summary The Rig Company Man represents the operating company on the drilling site and is responsible for supervising all drilling and related operations.
- This role ensures that activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory standards.
- Supervise and coordinate all drilling, completion, and workover activities on site
- Ensure operations are conducted in accordance with approved drilling programs
- Monitor daily drilling performance, costs, and progress
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards
- Act as the primary liaison between the operator, drilling contractor, and service companies
- Approve operational procedures and authorize changes when required
- Ensure proper maintenance and use of drilling equipment
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate daily reports and operational records
- Manage logistics including materials, personnel, and equipment supply
