Job Purpose
- To provide medical and clinical professional assistance to the Superintendent Medical Affairs in the supervision and monitoring of the KJO contracted medical staff activities covering medical practices, referrals and MTC documentations to ensure that employees and dependents are provided with the hi
Main Responsibilities
- Applies approved section policies, processes, and procedures and monitors adherence.
- Applies the day to day operations assigned for the Medical Affairs Division to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.
- Monitors the activities of third party medical practitioners to ensure they perform according to the highest standards.
- Provides technical documentation of various medical issues of identified patients to be discussed with the MTC.
- Reviews and processes referral letters and discusses with the attending physician at the Medical Designated Facilities.
- Meets and discusses with the patient or patient’s family to discuss approval or non approval of medical service based on coverage.
- Verifies medical referrals, invoice verifications, approval of sick leaves, preparation of medical reports and reimbursements.
- Reviews patient complaints and discusses remedial process with the Superintendent.
- Visits MDF facilities to ensure equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
- Conducts regular inventory of consumable and disposable stock materials.
- Coordinates with FAD and budgeting sections to improve the referral system.
- Prepares section reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Qualifications, Experience & Language Skills
- Bachelor degree in Medicine, Supplementary Specialty plus Licensed Medical Specialist.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar medical services post.
- Minimum English language required is KJO L6 – Advanced.
