RF Optimization & Drive Test Engineer – Water Coverage Survey

Role Overview

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct RF water surveys and drive tests across assigned marine, coastal, offshore, waterfront, and designated water routes.
• Configure test devices, Nemo Handy profiles, GPS tracking, scripts, and network settings before surveys.
• Monitor RF parameters including RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, RSSI, PCI, serving cell, frequency, throughput, latency, and handovers.
• Track routes and measurement locations, identify performance issues, and validate collected logs in the field.
• Process files in Nemo Analyzer and produce route-based coverage plots, KPI analyses, and geographical performance views.
• Prepare daily reports and coordinate findings with RF optimization, network planning, project management, and field teams.
• Conduct repeat surveys after network changes or optimization activities.
• Maintain equipment readiness and follow project HSE, marine safety, client, and field-work procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in telecommunications, electronics, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Practical experience in RF drive testing, RF optimization, RF surveying, or similar telecom field testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with Nemo Handy and practical knowledge of Nemo Analyzer.
• Understanding of LTE/4G and 5G NR networks, RF KPIs, mobility, handovers, coverage, quality, and service performance.
• Ability to configure measurement scenarios, interpret RF data, prepare reports, and coordinate with technical teams.
• Comfort working independently outdoors and in marine environments, including travel by boat.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience conducting marine, offshore, coastal, island, or water-route RF surveys is advantageous.
• Willingness to work flexible hours based on routes, marine access, weather, and project schedules.

Work Location

• The role is performed in person and requires extensive field work on boats or other water transport.

Package Details

• Gross salary is stated as 6,500 to 8,500 AED, with company-provided visa and health insurance.
