Job Description

  • As a Restaurant General Manager, you’re not just managing daily operations for one of our hotel dining outlets – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences.

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

  • Lead the restaurant team in delivering exceptional and personalized guest experiences aligned with Waldorf Astoria luxury standards.
  • Maintain the highest levels of guest satisfaction through proactive engagement and service recovery.
  • Ensure consistent execution of brand standards and operational procedures.
  • Establish strong relationships with VIP guests, residents, local clientele, and corporate partners.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement action plans to continuously improve service delivery.

Operational Leadership

  • Direct all restaurant operations to achieve excellence in service, quality, cleanliness, and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular floor presence during service periods to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with Culinary and Beverage teams to ensure seamless execution of the dining experience.
  • Ensure all restaurant facilities, equipment, and physical environments are maintained to luxury standards.
  • Monitor reservation flow, table allocation, and capacity management to maximize revenue opportunities.

Financial Performance

  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve revenue and profitability objectives.
  • Manage restaurant budgets, forecasts, labor costs, and operating expenses.
  • Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for growth and cost optimization.
  • Drive sales initiatives, promotional campaigns, upselling programs, and business development opportunities.
  • Ensure effective inventory management and control of operating supplies.

People Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and inspire the restaurant management and service teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance reviews, succession planning, and talent development activities.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention initiatives.
  • Ensure all team members receive appropriate coaching and development to enhance performance and career growth.

Marketing & Business Development

  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Public Relations teams to increase restaurant visibility and market presence.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, luxury partners, and high value clientele.
  • Support the development and execution of promotional events, seasonal campaigns, and special dining experiences.
  • Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to maintain a competitive position in the market.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure full compliance with hotel policies, Hilton standards, Qatar regulations, and food safety requirements.
  • Maintain HACCP, health and safety, and hygiene standards throughout the operation.
  • Ensure adherence to cash handling, inventory control, security, and loss prevention procedures.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and reporting.
