About the Role

Responsibilities
- Handle all reservation requests using good listening and communication skills to secure necessary information
- Answer inquiries about hotel services, facilities, and outlets
- File and process reservations correspondence, ensuring files are current and in order
- Be familiar with changes in menu, pricing, and guest enquiries
- Complete daily shift task list and aid others
- Monitor inventory management and keep constant check on room types available
- Accommodate and document special requests accurately and efficiently
- Explain guarantee and cancellation policies to callers
- Identify guest reservation needs by asking open ended questions
- Identify repeat guests
Requirements
- Passion for guest service
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Highly organized, results oriented with ability to be flexible and work under pressure
- Minimum of 1 year previous hotel experience is an asset
- Fluency in English and Russian, and or additional language is a plus
- Knowledge of Property Management Systems, such as POS is an asset
- Computer proficiency in Windows environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Job Description
- Have thorough knowledge of entire hotel services and facilities.
- Answer inquiries of outlets and their locations.
- Be totally familiar with all aspects of reservation systems for food & beverage.
- Handle all reservation requests using good listening and communication skills.
- File and process reservations correspondence, make certain all files are current and in order.
- Have knowledge of Front desk, Sales and Accounts departments.
- Abide by hotel policies and procedures.
- Be familiar with changes in menu, pricing and guest enquiries.
- Complete daily shift task list and aid others.
- Be aware of inventory management and keep constant check on room types available.
- Understand departmental goals and projections for average rate and occupancy.
- Accommodate and document special requests accurately and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Passion for guest service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Highly organized, results oriented with ability to be flexible and work well under pressure.
- Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management is an asset.
- Fluency in English and Russian, and or additional language is a plus.
- Minimum of 1 year previous Hotel experience is an asset.
- Must have ability to handle a multitude of tasks and Guest requests.
- Knowledge of Property Management Systems, such as POS is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
- Experience with a Hotel loyalty program an asset.
- Computer proficiency in a Windows environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
