The Relationship Manager – Kisan Credit Card (KCC) is a specialized role within the Rural Banking function, focused on delivering tailored financial solutions to KCC customers. The role involves acquiring new customers, deepening existing relationships, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. The incumbent will work closely with product and operations teams to drive customer acquisition, servicing, and portfolio growth. This role contributes directly to the branch banking channel’s objectives by managing New-to-Bank (NTB) clients and enhancing customer profitability.
Primary Responsibilities
- Increase liabilities by growing balances in accounts of existing KCC customers and capturing a larger share of wallet.
- Monitor account inflows and outflows to proactively identify business opportunities.
- Maintain close contact with customers through mailers and calls, sharing insights on interest rates, exchange rates, and product offerings.
- Generate new sales leads for KCC through referrals, brokers, and other sources.
- Acquire new KCC customers with a strong understanding of credit assessment and financial documentation.
- Leverage expertise in liabilities, foreign exchange, trade finance, delinquency management, and relationship management to grow business volumes.
- Manage the KCC portfolio through continuous monitoring, renewals, retention, and ensuring portfolio hygiene with minimal deferrals and covenant breaches.
- Collaborate with branch banking teams to optimize synergies and work within the broader bank ecosystem.
- Evaluate growth strategies based on competitor analysis and customer feedback.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance service efficiency and quality across the branch network.
- Demonstrate ability in sales planning, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
- Understand financial statements, credit assessment processes, and title/security documentation.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Attract and retain top talent for key roles within the reporting structure.
- Monitor employee productivity, hiring quality, and attrition rates; implement necessary improvements.
- Enable teams to achieve growth targets by providing strategic and operational support.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in rural banking, KCC/credit products, or relationship management.
Skills and Attributes
- Strong understanding of KCC products and rural customer needs.
- Proficiency in credit assessment and financial documentation.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to drive business growth.
