Job Summary

  • The Ministry of Community Empowerment (MOCE) is seeking a Registration & Licensing Specialist to support the registration, licensing, and regulatory oversight of Non Profit Organizations (NPOs).
  • The successful candidate will manage the end to end application process, assess compliance, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure efficient delivery of licensing services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and process applications for the registration, licensing, renewal, amendment, and dissolution of Non Profit Organizations (NPOs)
  • Evaluate applications to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and licensing requirements
  • Conduct due diligence and analyze supporting documentation, preparing recommendations for approval or rejection
  • Coordinate with relevant internal departments and external government entities throughout the registration and licensing process
  • Provide guidance to applicants on registration requirements, licensing procedures, and regulatory obligations
  • Maintain accurate records within licensing systems and ensure the integrity of organizational data
  • Monitor application progress and ensure compliance with established service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Prepare reports, statistics, and performance indicators related to registration and licensing activities
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of licensing policies, procedures, and operational processes
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance customer experience through process improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with governance requirements, quality standards, and regulatory frameworks

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Law, Government Studies, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in licensing, registration, regulatory affairs, compliance, or government services
  • Experience working with Non Profit Organizations (NPOs), associations, foundations, charities, or regulatory authorities is highly preferred
  • Experience within a federal government or semi government entity is an advantage
