About the Role

- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, instruments, and supplies for surgical procedures.
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care in accordance with DHA and Al Futtaim Health standards.
- Assist surgeons and anesthetists during surgical procedures.
- Perform patient assessments and ensure accurate documentation throughout the perioperative journey.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery, identifying and escalating concerns promptly.
- Ensure surgical safety checklists are completed and documented.
- Manage theatre stock, equipment, and consumables efficiently.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and ongoing professional development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent recognized nursing qualification
- Current DHA Registered Nurse License or DHA Eligibility Letter (mandatory)
- Current BLS certification (mandatory)
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Theatre nursing experience in an acute care hospital or surgical centre
- Experience in scrub and circulating theatre nursing preferred
- ACLS certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices, infection prevention, and patient safety standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and clinical documentation

Job Overview

- Minimum 2 years of Operating Theatre nursing experience in an acute care hospital or surgical centre.
- Experience in scrub and circulating theatre nursing preferred.
- Experience supporting multiple surgical specialties such as General Surgery, Orthopaedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Gynaecology, or Day Surgery is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast paced surgical environment.
