Responsibilities
- Provide holistic antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to pregnant patients and newborns
- Conduct assessments, plan and implement individualized care
- Monitor maternal and fetal well being
- Support labour and birth
- Provide education on breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery
- Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, nurses, and allied health professionals
- Accurate documentation and participation in quality improvement initiatives
- Adhere to infection prevention and safety standards
Requirements
- Valid registration and license as a Registered Midwife, meeting UAE regulatory requirements
- Recognized bachelor’s degree in midwifery
- Proven experience in antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care within an acute or maternity setting
- Strong clinical assessment, fetal monitoring, and emergency management skills
- Effective communication, counseling, and patient education skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Competence in maintaining accurate clinical records and using healthcare information systems
- Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays

Role Description
- Provide holistic antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to pregnant patients and newborns.

Qualifications
- Valid registration and license as a Registered Midwife, meeting UAE regulatory requirements
- Recognized bachelor’s degree in midwifery qualification
- Proven experience in antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care within an acute or maternity setting
- Strong clinical assessment, fetal monitoring, and emergency management skills
- Effective communication, counseling, and patient education skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and in a culturally diverse environment
- Competence in maintaining accurate clinical records and using healthcare information systems
- Commitment to evidence based practice, continuous learning, and adherence to patient safety and infection control standards
- Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
- Previous experience in the UAE or GCC region and proficiency in additional languages (such as Arabic) are an advantage
