Job Description

  • The Regional Fleet Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing fleet maintenance operations across a designated geographic region to ensure vehicle reliability, safety, regulatory compliance, and cost efficiency.
  • Partners closely with branch leadership, operations, and third party maintenance providers to proactively manage preventive maintenance, repairs, audits, and compliance programs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive fleet and garage audits at branch locations.
  • Monitor fleet operational metrics and collaborate with branch leadership and maintenance providers.
  • Maintain ownership and accuracy of asset, vehicle, and contact data within FMS.
  • Partner with maintenance providers to prioritize work orders and coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Manage preventive maintenance task lists and schedules.
  • Review, approve, and control repair expenditures.
  • Oversee state inspection and DOT compliance programs.
  • Ensure compliance with OEM specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Serve as on duty liaison to Operations for emergency roadside assistance.
  • Manage and respond to accident related inquiries and tasks.
  • Provide technical expertise on upfit related issues.
  • Analyze vehicle performance and maintenance data to identify trends.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED; associate or bachelor's degree in logistics, business, or related field preferred.
  • 2 5 years of experience in a similar supervisory role, or within a fleet or transportation environment.
  • Prior hands on experience as a Diesel Technician with working knowledge of preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of medium or heavy duty vehicles.

  • Leadership & Communication: Effective communication, strong interpersonal skills, ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Technical Proficiency: Computer literacy including fleet management software, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Operational Skills: Strong organizational, detail oriented, problem solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Safety & Compliance: Thorough understanding of safety regulations and ability to ensure compliance.

Pay Range

  • 78,200.00 97,700.00 USD Annual (specific to certain states).
