Job Description

  • The Recreation Manager is responsible for overseeing all recreation and wellness operations within the hotel, including swimming pools, fitness facilities, recreational programs, and guest activities.
  • The role ensures exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, safety compliance, team development, and revenue generation while maintaining the highest standards of luxury hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of recreation facilities, including pools, fitness centers, and recreational activities.
  • Ensure facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences by responding to guest needs and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with Spa, Rooms, Food & Beverage, and other departments to enhance guest engagement and wellness offerings.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and supervise recreation team members to achieve service excellence.
  • Prepare departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial reports while controlling costs and maximizing revenue opportunities.
  • Monitor performance indicators and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, emergency response, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop innovative recreation, fitness, and wellness programs that align with the hotel's luxury positioning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Leisure Management, Sports & Recreation, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of management experience in recreation, wellness, fitness, or luxury hotel operations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial planning, and operational management.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications preferred.
