Position
The position is for a Receiving Officer supporting hotel goods receiving and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect all incoming goods delivered to the hotel.
- Verify delivered items against purchase orders, delivery notes, and approved specifications.
- Check quantities, quality, condition, expiry dates, and specifications of received goods.
- Prepare and process goods received notes accurately and on time.
- Report shortages, damages, incorrect items, and quality discrepancies to the Purchasing Department.
- Coordinate with hotel departments regarding deliveries.
- Ensure all receiving documents are properly recorded and maintained.
- Follow hotel receiving procedures, hygiene standards, and company policies.
- Support inventory control and maintain proper documentation of received items.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional receiving area.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Receiving Officer is preferred, particularly in a five-star hotel or hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of the BirchStreet system is preferred.
- Knowledge of hotel receiving and purchasing procedures.
- Good understanding of purchase orders, delivery notes, invoices, and inventory documentation.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
