Job Qualifications
- Previous cashier experience is required, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Good numerical skills and attention to detail are required.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash-handling procedures is required.
- Ability to handle cash and payment transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Good communication and organizational skills are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle cash, card, and room-charge payments accurately.
- Operate the POS system and correctly close guest checks.
- Verify discounts, voids, and complimentary bills according to hotel procedures.
- Reconcile daily collections against POS reports.
- Prepare daily cashier reports with all required supporting documents.
- Maintain and safeguard the assigned cashier float.
- Report cash shortages, overages, and discrepancies immediately.
- Keep transactions and supporting documents complete and properly recorded.
- Follow hotel cash-handling procedures and internal controls.
- Protect the confidentiality and accuracy of guest and financial information.
- Work with relevant departments to resolve payment or billing discrepancies.
- Perform other cashier-related duties assigned within the position’s scope.
