Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate real estate agreements (sale and purchase, lease, off plan, development, joint venture, shareholder agreements)
- Advise on acquisitions, disposals, and financing of commercial, residential, and mixed use property
- Support development projects from inception to completion, including title, zoning, planning, and regulatory approvals
- Advise on UAE real estate law compliance, including mainland, free zone (DIFC/ADGM), and Abu Dhabi specific regulatory frameworks
- Manage real estate related disputes, including landlord tenant matters, construction related claims, and pre litigation risk
- Advise on leasing strategy, property management agreements, and tenancy compliance
- Manage legal risk, red flag issues, and provide pragmatic, business focused solutions
- Operate confidently within fast paced, in house environments
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years' PQE (post qualification experience)
- Strong familiarity with UAE real estate law, including mainland and free zone frameworks (DIFC/ADGM experience a plus)
- Background spanning both private practice and in house, ideally with direct exposure to developers, asset managers, investment funds, or regulated industries
- Adaptability, pragmatism, and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- True consultant mindset, genuinely enjoys partnering with the business

Job Overview

What you'll be doing
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating real estate agreements (sale and purchase agreements, lease agreements, off plan and development agreements, joint venture and shareholder agreements relating to real estate assets)
- Advising on acquisitions, disposals, and financing of commercial, residential, and mixed use property
- Supporting development projects from inception through to completion, including title, zoning, planning, and regulatory approvals
- Advising on UAE real estate law compliance, including mainland, free zone (DIFC/ADGM), and Abu Dhabi specific regulatory frameworks (DMT, ADGM RERA equivalents, municipality requirements) where relevant
- Managing real estate related disputes, including landlord tenant matters, construction related claims, and pre litigation risk
- Advising on leasing strategy, property management agreements, and tenancy compliance
- Managing legal risk, red flagging issues, and providing pragmatic, business focused solutions
- Operating confidently within fast paced, in house environments
What we're looking for
- A minimum of 5+ years' PQE, though this is flexible depending on experience and the secondment
- Strong familiarity with UAE real estate law, including mainland and free zone frameworks (DIFC/ADGM experience a plus), and the local property landscape
- A background that spans both private practice and in house, ideally with direct exposure to developers, asset managers, investment funds, or regulated industries
- Adaptability, pragmatism, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
