React Native Developer

Role Overview

Banking and Enterprise Integrations

• Support integrations for account information, customer onboarding, authentication, fund transfers, payments, beneficiaries, transaction history, cards, notifications, and digital banking services.
• Handle sensitive financial and customer information according to banking security and compliance requirements.
• Work with enterprise integration layers, API gateways, middleware, and backend services.

Security

• Implement secure mobile development practices suitable for banking environments.
• Apply authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, MFA, and biometrics where applicable.
• Protect sensitive data in transit and at rest and use secure storage for credentials, tokens, and sensitive information.
• Address vulnerabilities from security assessments, penetration tests, and code reviews and apply secure coding practices.
• Support certificate or public-key pinning and other mobile security controls where required.

API and Performance

• Consume REST APIs and JSON-based services and handle authentication, errors, timeouts, retries, and response validation.
• Collaborate with backend, API, architecture, and business teams to resolve integration issues across environments.
• Optimize rendering, state management, API calls, animations, large datasets, responsiveness, memory usage, and startup time.
• Monitor and troubleshoot crashes, ANRs, memory leaks, API failures, and other mobile performance issues.

Native Mobile Development

• Understand Android and iOS platforms and their interaction with React Native.
• Work with Android Studio, Gradle, Xcode, CocoaPods, and native dependencies.
• Develop or maintain native modules and troubleshoot platform-specific build and runtime issues.

Testing and Quality

• Write and maintain unit, integration, and component tests using Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox, or equivalent tools.
• Collaborate with QA teams on functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
• Maintain quality through peer reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration.

CI/CD and Releases

• Work with CI/CD pipelines for automated mobile builds, testing, and deployment.
• Support releases through Google Play Console, Apple App Store, and TestFlight.
• Use Git and tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Fastlane, or equivalent technologies.
• Manage environment-specific configurations, versioning, rollback, and production deployment activities.

Production Support

• Investigate production incidents affecting mobile banking applications and perform root-cause analysis.
• Monitor crashes, errors, API failures, and performance issues and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Participate in on-call or incident-management activities when required.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong professional experience in React Native development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of React.js, React Native architecture, state management, REST APIs, asynchronous programming, and mobile security.
• Experience with Git, automated testing, debugging, CI/CD, mobile release processes, and both Android and iOS development.

Preferred Technical and Domain Experience

• Experience with React Navigation, React Native Reanimated, Gesture Handler, Firebase, biometric authentication, secure storage, deep linking, offline synchronization, or WebSockets is preferred.
• Knowledge of native Android or iOS development and Kotlin, Java, Swift, or Objective-C is preferred.
• Experience with Fastlane, Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, or API gateways is advantageous.
• Banking, fintech, payments, digital banking, card management, fund transfers, KYC, MFA, open banking, payment gateways, core banking integrations, API banking, or financial transaction processing experience is highly preferred.
