React Native Developer

Role Overview

Integrations and Security

• Integrate account information, customer onboarding, authentication, transfers, payments, beneficiary management, transaction history, cards, notifications, and digital banking services.
• Work with API gateways, middleware, backend services, and enterprise integration layers.
• Apply OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, MFA, biometric authentication, secure storage, data protection, and certificate pinning where applicable.
• Address vulnerabilities identified through security assessments, penetration testing, and code reviews.

API and Performance

• Integrate REST APIs and JSON services while handling authentication, errors, timeouts, retries, and response validation.
• Resolve integration failures across development, testing, and production environments.
• Optimize rendering, state management, API calls, animations, memory usage, startup time, and large-data performance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot crashes, ANRs, memory leaks, and other mobile performance issues.

Native Development and Testing

• Troubleshoot Android and iOS build and runtime issues using Android Studio, Gradle, Xcode, CocoaPods, and native dependencies.
• Develop or maintain native modules and integrate platform-specific functionality when required.
• Write unit, integration, and component tests using Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox, or equivalent tools.
• Participate in functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.

CI/CD and Production Support

• Work with Git-based source control and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Fastlane or equivalent technologies.
• Support releases through Google Play Console and Apple App Store or TestFlight.
• Manage environment-specific configurations, release versioning, rollback, and production deployment activities.
• Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and participate in on-call or incident-management activities when required.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

• Strong professional and hands-on experience in React Native development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript and strong understanding of React.js and React Native architecture.
• Experience with Redux, Redux Toolkit, or equivalent state-management solutions.
• Strong experience integrating REST APIs and backend services.
• Experience developing and debugging applications on both Android and iOS.
• Strong understanding of mobile application security, automated testing, debugging, CI/CD, and mobile release processes.
• Minimum 5 years of professional software or mobile application development experience and minimum 5 years of React Native experience.

Preferred Experience

• Banking, fintech, payments, digital banking, or financial services experience is highly preferred.
• Enterprise and highly regulated environment experience is advantageous.
• Experience with React Navigation, Reanimated, Gesture Handler, Firebase, biometric authentication, secure storage, deep linking, offline synchronization, or WebSockets is preferred.
• Knowledge of native Android or iOS development and Kotlin, Java, Swift, or Objective-C is preferred.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, or API gateways is advantageous.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Relevant professional certifications are advantageous.
