Role Overview
Oversee all tasks assigned to insurance department staff.
Supervise revenue cycle operations across billing, collections, cash posting, account management, communications, and contract analysis.
Revenue Cycle and Claims
- Implement a system ensuring accurate billing information is entered into the billing system.
- Follow up on insurance payments and rejected claims.
- Attend weekly or monthly meetings with insurers and TPAs regarding payments and rejected claims.
- Audit claims before and after submission.
- Investigate claims, correct e-claims, and submit new quotes when items are missing from the price list.
- Ensure claims, denials, and appeals are efficiently processed.
- Resolve billing-related issues and identify patient reimbursement issues.
Insurance and Regulatory Coordination
- Review and implement circulars issued by the health authority and insurance companies.
- Contact hospitals that have agreements with the center.
- Contract with insurance networks and compare insurance company tariffs.
- Train clinicians, front desk staff, insurance billing staff, and approval teams on circulars and rejections.
