R&D Senior Scientist - Chemistry

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute analytical method development, optimization, validation, and verification projects.
• Design, conduct, interpret, and report analytical chemistry experiments.
• Develop methods using HPLC, GC-MS, LC-HRMS, GC-HRMS, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, NMR, IR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
• Author and maintain protocols, SOPs, validation reports, publications, and client reports.
• Publish findings and present scientific work at conferences and technical forums.
• Provide scientific consultation to clients, project teams, and stakeholders.
• Oversee instrument maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.
• Train, mentor, and assess laboratory personnel.
• Ensure compliance with quality systems, ISO/IEC 17025, regulatory standards, and audit expectations.
• Manage laboratory inventory, reagents, reference materials, and consumables.
• Drive continuous improvement in laboratory efficiency, service quality, and analytical capabilities.
• Stay current with emerging analytical chemistry and laboratory science practices.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• Demonstrated scientific achievement through peer-reviewed publications and scientific conference presentations.
• At least three years of postdoctoral, industrial, academic, or research laboratory experience in analytical chemistry or a related field.
• Expertise in analytical method development, validation, and troubleshooting with advanced instrumentation.
• Experience in ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratories or comparable quality and regulatory environments.
• Strong scientific writing, technical reporting, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to lead research projects, collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, and translate findings into practical solutions.

• The role involves hands-on laboratory work with analytical instruments, quality systems, laboratory personnel, and operational materials.
