Role Overview
Hammer Group is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor specializing in joinery and wood works.
The role supports interior fit-out and custom furniture projects in Dubai.
The position covers project costing, material estimation, BOQ preparation, and coordination with suppliers and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare BOQs, quotations, and cost estimates for joinery and fit-out projects.
- Analyze drawings and specifications related to wood works and custom joinery.
- Calculate material quantities, labor costs, and project budgets.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and site teams.
- Prepare variation orders and monitor project costs.
- Source and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Review project progress and maintain cost control during execution.
- Assist with project tendering and pricing submissions.
Requirements
- Strong experience in joinery, wood works, and interior fit-out is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of wood materials, finishes, and joinery production processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and shop drawings.
- Experience in BOQ preparation and project estimation.
- Knowledge of UAE market rates and suppliers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Minimum 2–5 years of UAE joinery or fit-out experience is preferred.
