Project Engineer - Fitout - Immediate Joiner

Job Summary

Project Planning and Execution

• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate daily site activities and monitor progress against approved schedules and milestones.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and contract requirements.
• Identify project risks and propose mitigation measures.

Technical Coordination

• Review engineering drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate technical issues with consultants, architects, designers, and subcontractors.
• Ensure implementation of approved drawings and project standards.
• Attend technical and coordination meetings.

Site Management

• Supervise site engineers, foremen, and subcontractors.
• Monitor work quality and conduct regular site inspections.
• Resolve technical issues promptly and ensure construction activities are safe and efficient.

Quality, Safety, and Reporting

• Implement quality control measures and comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Maintain records of site activities, inspections, approvals, correspondence, RFIs, submittals, and variation orders.
• Support project close-out and handover documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in commercial construction or fit-out projects.
• Experience in office buildings, retail, hospitality, mixed-use developments, or commercial interiors is preferred.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, clients, and subcontractors.

Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong project management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, leadership, and team coordination abilities.
• Knowledge of construction methods, engineering standards, and local regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.

Additional Qualifications

• Professional engineering certification is an advantage.
• A valid driving license is preferred.
