Job Summary

Plan, coordinate, and supervise engineering and construction activities for commercial projects.

Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality, safety, and contractual requirements.

Act as a key liaison between clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.

Project Planning and Execution

  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate daily site activities and monitor progress against approved schedules and milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and contract requirements.
  • Identify potential project risks and propose mitigation measures.

Technical Coordination

  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate with consultants, architects, designers, and subcontractors on technical issues.
  • Ensure approved drawings and project standards are implemented correctly.
  • Attend technical and coordination meetings with stakeholders.

Site Management

  • Supervise site engineers, foremen, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor work quality and conduct regular site inspections.
  • Resolve technical issues promptly and ensure construction activities are safe and efficient.

Quality, Safety, and Reporting

  • Implement quality control measures and comply with company quality management procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and participate in audits and toolbox talks.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
  • Maintain records of site activities, inspections, approvals, correspondence, RFIs, submittals, and variation orders.
  • Support project close-out activities and handover documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in commercial construction or fit-out projects.
  • Experience in office buildings, retail, hospitality, mixed-use developments, or commercial interiors is preferred.
  • Experience coordinating with consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Professional engineering certification is an advantage.
  • A valid driving license is preferred.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, engineering standards, and local regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
