Job Purpose
Lead and manage the Quantity Surveying function across high-end fit-out, joinery, aluminium, glass, interior finishing, villa, and landscape projects.
Ensure accurate cost planning, budgeting, tendering, procurement, and commercial control.
Monitor project budgets, cost performance, variations, valuations, and value-engineering opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the QS team by assigning tasks, setting priorities, reviewing outputs, and coordinating approvals.
- Prepare component-level BOQs and raw material lists for high-end joinery in residential and office environments.
- Maintain knowledge of local aluminium, glass, and interior finishing products and commercial rates.
- Understand installation processes and manpower requirements for fit-out projects.
- Prepare tender packages for joinery, aluminium, glass, flooring, and other subcontracted disciplines.
- Monitor contract-item budgets and cost performance against approved budgets.
- Identify cost variations and support valuations during project execution.
- Recommend value-engineering options during tender and post-contract stages.
- Prepare commercial reports and financial summaries for management decisions.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Dubai-based fit-out companies.
- Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Strong UAE construction or main contracting experience.
- Expertise in BOQ, estimation, cost control, variations, claims, extension of time, and final accounts.
- Experience covering both pre-contract and post-contract work.
- Strong negotiation, commercial, analytical, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and QS or commercial software.
- Immediate joining is preferred.
- A valid UAE driving license is preferred.
