Job Purpose
Lead and manage the Quantity Surveyor function across high-end fit-out, joinery, aluminium, glass, and interior finishing projects.
Oversee cost planning, budgeting, tendering, procurement, commercial control, budget monitoring, variations, valuations, and value engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the QS team, assign tasks, set priorities, review outputs, and coordinate approvals before documents or submissions are released.
- Prepare component-level BOQs and raw-material lists for high-end joinery in residential and office environments.
- Apply knowledge of local aluminium and glass manufacturers, products, and commercial rates.
- Apply knowledge of interior finishing materials, products, and commercial rates used in the local market.
- Understand installation processes and manpower requirements for fit-out projects.
- Prepare tender packages for joinery, aluminium, glass, flooring, and other subcontracted disciplines.
- Track every contract item against approved budgets and monitor cost performance.
- Identify cost variations, support change valuations, and recommend value-engineering options.
- Prepare commercial reports and financial summaries for management decision-making.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in Dubai-based fit-out companies.
- Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Strong UAE construction or main contracting experience.
- Expertise in BOQ, estimation, cost control, variations, claims, EOT, and final accounts.
- Experience in both pre-contract and post-contract work is required.
- Strong negotiation, commercial, analytical, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and QS or commercial software.
- Immediate joiners are preferred.
- A valid UAE driving licence is preferred.
