Role Overview
Quantity Surveyor / Estimation Engineer role with a leading interior fit-out company in Dubai.
The role manages cost-related aspects of interior fit-out projects while maintaining quality and compliance with project specifications.
Location and Schedule
- The role is based in Al Quoz, Dubai.
- The stated experience range is 1-2 years.
- Working days are Monday to Saturday.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and budgets for interior fit-out projects.
- Evaluate tender documents, drawings, and specifications for scope and pricing.
- Manage procurement, quotations, subcontractor negotiations, and cost comparisons.
- Monitor project costs and highlight budget variances.
- Prepare interim valuations, progress claims, and payment applications.
- Assess and certify subcontractor payment applications and variations.
- Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and project financial summaries.
- Conduct site visits to verify progress and align financial reports.
- Support contract administration, risk management, and dispute resolution.
- Ensure compliance with standards, contractual obligations, and local regulations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of quantity surveying experience, preferably in interior fit-out.
- Strong knowledge of interior fit-out materials, methods, and market rates.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software such as CostX or Candy.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
