Position Overview
The employer is hiring a Quantity Surveyor for a building construction and contracting client in Dubai, UAE.
The position focuses on post-contract quantity surveying and commercial management.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform post-contract quantity surveying and commercial management.
- Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Prepare bills of materials, cost estimates, and other commercial documentation.
- Review drawings, BOQs, specifications, and contract documents to identify project requirements.
- Monitor project costs and maintain accurate cost reports throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare, assess, and negotiate variation orders with clients and subcontractors.
- Prepare contractual claims, Extension of Time submissions, and supporting documentation.
- Review subcontractor measurements, valuations, and payment applications.
- Monitor project budgets and identify potential cost overruns and cost-saving opportunities.
- Track project expenditure against approved budgets and forecasts.
- Coordinate with project, site, procurement, and finance teams on commercial matters.
- Maintain records and prepare commercial reports, cost analyses, and project updates for management.
