Position Overview
The role is for a Civil Estimation Engineer / Quantity Surveyor with a building construction and contracting company in Dubai.
The position focuses on estimating civil construction work and supporting tenders, bids, proposals, budgeting, and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to develop accurate civil construction cost estimates.
- Carry out quantity take-offs and estimate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor scopes.
- Request and assess quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align estimates with project objectives and constraints.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits to evaluate project scope and site conditions.
- Organize drawing files and related project documents according to company procedures.
- Contribute to tenders, bid packages, and project proposals.
- Track cost trends and provide input on project budgeting and forecasting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Experience in civil estimating or related construction roles.
- Solid understanding of civil construction methods, materials, and applicable codes.
- Skill with Bluebeam, HeavyBid, PlanSwift, AutoCAD, or equivalent estimating tools.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational abilities.
