- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for construction projects
- Monitor project costs and track variations, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency
- Evaluate and negotiate contractor bids, pricing, and change orders
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments related to project costs
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients
- Manage procurement processes, including tender documentation and contract award recommendations
- Oversee contract administration and ensure compliance with contractual terms
- Provide regular financial reporting and cash flow forecasts to stakeholders
- Advise on contractual claims and disputes
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, legal standards, and safety regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations in the U.S.
- Proficiency in cost estimation and project management software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Procore)
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational abilities
