Responsibilities
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of Quality Assurance (QA) programs in accordance with nuclear regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct internal audits, inspections, and assessments to verify compliance with procedures, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Review quality documentation, including inspection records, test reports, and supplier qualifications.
- Assist in identifying root causes of nonconformances and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor supplier performance and support vendor audits when required.
- Work closely with engineering, operations, and project teams to ensure quality expectations are consistently met.
- Maintain accurate QA records and ensure proper document control processes are followed.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, safety, and operational performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Nuclear Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in quality assurance or quality control within the nuclear industry, or other regulated technical environments.
- Knowledge of NQA 1, ISO 9001, DOE O 414.1, or similar nuclear quality standards.
- Strong understanding of inspection methods, QA documentation, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience with audits, NCR/CAPA processes, and supplier quality management.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem solving abilities.
