About the Role
avua is seeking a Project Planning Engineer with over 10 years of experience in planning/scheduling for large oil & gas projects. The role involves developing schedules using Primavera P6, monitoring progress, conducting risk analysis, and coordinating with multi-discipline teams.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain baseline project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent
- Liaise with project managers and discipline leads to gather planning input and define critical path activities
- Prepare and update Level 1 to Level 4 schedules, bar charts, S curves, and resource histograms
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying deviations and proposing mitigation measures
- Conduct schedule risk analysis and impact assessments for variations, changes, or delays
- Produce weekly and monthly progress reports, earned value analysis (EVA), and KPIs
- Coordinate planning input across engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning
- Ensure alignment with contractual milestones and deliverables
- Participate in internal and client meetings (progress reviews, schedule workshops, etc.)
- Support preparation of project execution plans, manpower plans, and look ahead schedules
- Interface with cost control, document control, and project controls teams for integrated reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in planning/scheduling on large onshore or offshore oil & gas projects
- Proven experience with EPC project phases including FEED, detailed engineering, and site execution
- Certification in project planning (e.g., Primavera P6, PSP, PMI SP) is preferred

- Proven experience with EPC project phases, including FEED, detailed engineering, and site execution.
- Experience in working with multi discipline teams, including civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation.
