Role Overview
The employer is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor for swimming pool construction and contracting projects.
The role covers quantity take-offs, cost estimation, subcontractor and supplier coordination, variation claims, interim payments, and commercial management.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity take-offs, measurements, BOQs, cost estimates, and material quantity requirements from drawings and specifications.
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations and monitor project costs.
- Prepare variations, additional works, change order claims, interim payment applications, and supporting documents.
- Verify invoices and payment applications and prepare material and labor cost comparisons.
- Monitor budgets, identify potential cost overruns, and assist with monthly valuations and final accounts.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, draftsmen, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Maintain commercial and contractual records and support review of subcontract agreements, LPOs, and payment terms.
- Support measurements and claims with drawings, site records, WIRs, MIRs, and other project documents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
- Swimming pool construction or landscaping experience is highly preferred.
- Experience in the UAE construction industry is an advantage.
- Experience preparing BOQs, variations, valuations, and final accounts.
- Ability to read architectural, civil, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Candidates currently available in the UAE are preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of quantity take-offs and construction cost estimation.
- Good understanding of construction materials, labor costs, and subcontractor works.
- Good knowledge of Excel and quantity surveying software or tools.
- Good knowledge of construction contracts and commercial procedures.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 4,000–5,000 per month.
