Role Overview

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution is required, with progressive specialty experience accepted in lieu of education.
• At least four years of information technology experience is required.
• At least four years of software testing experience is required.
• The candidate must have software testing experience using Selenium and/or Playwright.
• Strong knowledge of UI, API or microservices, and database testing is required.
• Experience working in GitHub repositories is required.
• Experience implementing CI/CD-based integration of automated test scripts is required.
• The candidate must be within commuting distance of Calgary, Alberta, or willing to relocate; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Interface with client stakeholders and deliver quality assurance through automated tests, defect identification, retesting, and daily test status reporting.
• Create or enhance test automation frameworks.
• Participate in project estimations and provide inputs.
• Participate in automation code reviews and customer show-and-tell sessions.
• Maintain knowledge and documentation of project artifacts.
• Ensure adherence to client guidelines and processes.
• Contribute to building efficient programs and systems for client digital transformation initiatives.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of more than one automation scripting technology and automation tool is preferred.
• Analytical abilities, strong technical skills, communication skills, problem-solving skills, and debugging skills are preferred.
• Awareness of current technologies and trends is preferred.

Work Conditions

• The job involves sitting and working at a computer for extended periods.
• Communication may occur by telephone, email, or face to face.
• Travel may be required according to job requirements.
