About the Role
NMDC Dredging & Marine is seeking a Quality Control Manager to provide quality control and inspection resources for construction sites, develop and implement QC plans, and supervise QC functions.

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- ISO 9001 2015 Certification
- Minimum 15 years of related work experience in dredging and civil marine projects

Job Purpose
- Job at this level is responsible for providing quality control and inspection resources to construction sites.
- Provide guidance and direction to execution of quality control activities at site.
- Develop, implement, and improve plans, ITPs, and quality control systems to assure that our products meet requirements of the stakeholders.
- Implement QC resources manpower mobilization plans to meet projects contractual requirements in the most cost effective manner.
- Supervise the Quality Control functions/activities of a project or its parts, including Quality Control inspection schedules and the collection of Quality Records.
- Ensure products certificates (ASME, API, etc) are maintained.
Principal Accountabilities
- Undertake familiarization with project QC requirements and directs the development of project specific plans and procedures for approval by the section head.
- Assign and monitors the project QC functions, ensuring daily work activities are carried out within project time frames and according to set standards.
- Review and follow up non conformance identified during inspection.
- Determine and allocate QC resources to the various areas of the projects and sites activity.
- Provide technical and expertise supports to QCI personnel.
- Establish and implement QC project records requirements to ensure all activities are accurately and comprehensively recorded and readily retrievable.
- Prepare and make recommendations, as requested, on system procedures updating to ensure effective QC activities.
- Take decisions on instances of product non conformance and ensures remedial action is taken.
- Maintain relation with client to ensure approval of project specific QC personnel, procedures, and plans, addresses difficult technical issues and resolves client concerns, bearing in mind cost impact factors.
- Develop improvement programs & plans for inspection techniques.
- Provide feedback / recommendation for establishment and changes to QC norms.
- Coordinate with yards, construction sites, offshore and projects departments to ensure effective integration of tasks and minimize potential delays.
Educational Qualifications & Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is a must.
- ISO 9001 2015 Certification is mandatory.
- Minimum 15 years of related work experience in dredging and civil marine projects.
