About the Role
NMDC Dredging & Marine seeks a Project Surveyor to provide technical survey expertise and manage the project survey team on-site. The role involves implementing policies, ensuring quality control, overseeing staffing, and reporting survey activities.

Responsibilities
- Provide high level technical survey knowledge and expertise across all aspects of the Survey Department and projects
- Implement policies and procedures for effective and efficient functioning of the project survey team on site
- Manage the project survey team including mobilization, execution, deliverables, and project closeout
- Ensure quality control and quality assurance of survey data including field checks, calibrations, and survey results
- Oversee project survey staffing and advise Area Survey Manager and Project Manager on personnel requirements
- Report all survey activities via Weekly Survey Report to Project Manager and Survey Department
- Provide Site Team with required project progress information on daily, weekly, or monthly basis
- Proactively assist in gathering data for knowledge database (lessons learned, installation procedures)
- Take active steps in preparation, standardization, and maintenance of Survey Guidelines and Procedures
- Actively participate in safety program
- Responsible for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of survey equipment, hardware, and software
- Ensure HSE requirements are observed in all survey activities and provide guidance on QA/QC and HSE reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Hydrography, Marine or Land Survey, Geodetic Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marine or infrastructure works within related industries
- Experience in dredging and reclamation projects highly preferred

- Provide the Site Team with required project progress information on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, presented in volume sheets, drawings, and/or cross sections.
- Proactively assist in gathering data for the knowledge database (lessons learned, installation procedures) to support and improve survey operations.
- Take active steps in the preparation, standardization, and maintenance of Survey Guidelines and Procedures.
- Actively participate in the safety program; safety is a shared responsibility and a condition of employment to ensure a safer working environment.
- Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of survey equipment, hardware, and software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hydrography, Marine or Land Survey, Geodetic Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marine or infrastructure works within related industries.
- Experience in dredging and reclamation projects is highly preferred.
