The Quality Control Inspector/Engineer manages and ensures consistent quality standards across shipyard operations.
The role is part of the AM For Yachts & Aluminum Boats Industries team in Abu Dhabi.
The position is performed in an onsite environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage all quality control activities related to shipyard operations and ensure compliance with established standards.
- Monitor quality of workmanship throughout all project stages within the yard.
- Prepare and maintain QC inspection reports, records, checklists, and other relevant documentation.
- Coordinate and support audits by certification bodies, classification societies, and external auditors.
- Work with government authorities, surveyors, and third-party inspectors during official inspections.
- Ensure all required inspection documentation is available and up to date.
- Identify non-conformities, issue corrective action reports, and track findings through closure.
- Support continuous improvement of shipyard processes, procedures, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Ability to manage quality control activities across shipyard operations.
- Knowledge of established quality standards and compliance requirements.
- Ability to prepare and maintain inspection reports, records, checklists, and related documentation.
- Ability to coordinate audits involving certification bodies, classification societies, and external auditors.
- Ability to coordinate with government authorities, surveyors, and third-party inspectors.
- Ability to identify non-conformities, issue corrective action reports, and track findings through closure.
