Quality Assurance Engineer

Position Details

Quality Strategy and Ownership

• Own the end-to-end quality strategy across backend services, SDKs, and frontend applications.
• Define quality standards, metrics, acceptance criteria, test coverage targets, testing methodologies, best practices, and quality gates.
• Report quality metrics, trends, and risk assessments to stakeholders.

Test Automation

• Lead an automation-first testing approach across all platform components.
• Build and maintain automated test suites for APIs, SDKs, and frontend applications.
• Implement continuous testing in CI/CD pipelines with appropriate quality gates.
• Maintain test infrastructure, frameworks, and test data management.

Functional and Integration Testing

• Test complete business workflows across supported document types and scenarios.
• Validate feature functionality, edge cases, and error handling.
• Test integrations with external systems and third-party services.
• Verify data accuracy, transformation, and reconciliation processes.

Regression and Release Testing

• Perform comprehensive regression testing before releases.
• Manage test environments, test data, and environment configurations.
• Execute smoke tests and sanity checks for production deployments.
• Validate hotfixes and emergency releases with appropriate urgency.

Defect Management

• Work with engineering teams to reproduce, document, and prioritize defects.
• Perform root cause analysis on quality issues and recurring defects.
• Track defect trends, identify systemic issues, and drive resolution.
• Verify defect fixes and prevent regression through targeted testing.

Compliance and Collaboration

• Ensure testing coverage for regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Document test evidence and maintain audit trails for compliance reviews.
• Collaborate with product managers on requirement clarity and testability.
• Provide quality feedback during design reviews and sprint planning.

Requirements

• Ability to own quality strategy across backend services, SDKs, and frontend applications.
• Experience or capability in automated testing for APIs, SDKs, and frontend applications.
• Ability to implement continuous testing and quality gates in CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to manage test environments, test data, and environment configurations.
• Ability to reproduce, document, prioritize, and verify software defects.
• Ability to address regulatory and compliance testing requirements and maintain audit evidence.
• Ability to collaborate with product managers and engineering teams on requirements, testability, and quality.
