Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project specifications and budgets
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, assist in contract negotiations, and monitor project costs against budgets throughout the construction lifecycle
- Manage variations and claims, support the preparation of interim payment applications and final accounts, and maintain up to date cost reports for stakeholders
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and the procurement team, perform site measurements, and ensure compliance with company procedures and relevant standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Strong skills in cost estimation, quantity take off, and preparation of bills of quantities for high end construction projects
- Experience in tendering, bid analysis, and evaluation of subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Proficiency in cost control, budgeting, and financial tracking throughout the project lifecycle
- Capability in managing variations, claims, interim payments, and final account settlements
- Hands on experience with QS and construction software (e.g., AutoCAD, Excel, and common QS/ERP tools)
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and technical drawings in architectural and interior fit out projects
- Knowledge of contract conditions, procurement processes, and relevant UAE construction regulations and standards
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and coordination skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
- Previous experience as a QS Engineer in the UAE, preferably on high end or complex architectural projects
- Ability to work on site in Abu Dhabi, manage deadlines, and adapt to fast paced project environments
