Role Overview

Quality Control Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Project Quality Control Plan with QA/QC and project management teams.
• Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans, method statements, checklists, and inspection procedures.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, third-party agencies, and project teams.
• Maintain inspection records, test reports, approvals, certificates, and quality documentation.
• Monitor materials, concrete testing, laboratory activities, non-conforming results, and corrective actions.
• Manage NCRs, root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, quality observations, snags, and defects.
• Conduct internal inspections and audits and establish quality benchmarks, mock-ups, and sample approvals.
• Monitor subcontractor quality performance and review their quality plans, ITPs, method statements, and documentation.
• Prepare quality reports and KPIs and coordinate with construction, technical, planning, procurement, HSE, and MEP teams.
• Support testing, commissioning interfaces, authority and client inspections, handover, close-out, and lessons learned.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
• Minimum 15 years of construction quality control experience is required.
• At least 5 years in a QC Manager or Senior Quality role on major construction projects is required.
• High-rise building and mega civil project experience is mandatory.
• Experience with a reputable main contractor or Tier-1 contractor is essential.
• UAE or GCC experience is strongly preferred.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification is highly preferred; other construction quality certifications are advantageous.

Technical and Leadership Competencies

• Strong knowledge of civil construction methodology, structural concrete, architectural finishes, waterproofing, façade quality, and project close-out.
• Knowledge of ACI, ASTM, BS/EN standards, local authority requirements, ISO 9001, ITPs, material testing, and laboratory requirements.
• Strong leadership, team management, communication, coordination, analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and reporting skills.
• Ability to challenge poor workmanship and work under pressure in fast-paced mega-project environments.
