Role Overview

The QA/QC / Technical Coordinator ensures construction activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable regulations.

The role coordinates technical documentation, drawings, inspections, material approvals, and communication among project stakeholders.

Quality Assurance and Control

  • Implement the Project Quality Plan and company QA/QC procedures.
  • Inspect ongoing works against approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Prepare Inspection Requests, Material Inspection Requests, and quality documentation.
  • Monitor workmanship and identify non-conformities.
  • Track Non-Conformance Reports and corrective or preventive actions.
  • Maintain quality records, checklists, inspection reports, and test reports.
  • Coordinate inspections and approvals with consultants and clients.

Technical Coordination

  • Coordinate approved shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical documents.
  • Ensure project documentation is current and properly controlled.
  • Liaise with engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers on technical matters.
  • Monitor drawing revisions and ensure only the latest approved documents are used on site.
  • Assist with technical issues and design clarifications.
  • Support project close-out, as-built documentation, and handover packages.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain document control for technical and QA/QC records.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly quality reports.
  • Track outstanding inspections, approvals, and document submissions.
  • Maintain logs for RFIs, submittals, inspections, and NCRs.

Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure approved materials are delivered to site.
  • Support project planning by monitoring inspection schedules and documentation timelines.
  • Attend coordination meetings and provide updates on quality and technical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, contract specifications, and company procedures.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or diploma in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architecture, or a related field is required.
  • Three to five years of QA/QC and technical coordination experience in construction or fit-out projects is required.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of construction standards, inspection procedures, and quality documentation is required.
  • Immediate availability is required.

Work Setting

  • The duties include inspecting ongoing construction works and coordinating materials and documentation for delivery to site.
