Job Purpose
The QA/QC Inspector ensures that construction and landscape projects meet or exceed specified quality standards.
The role identifies and rectifies deviations, maintains accurate records, collaborates with project teams, and supports continuous improvement.
The position contributes to projects meeting client expectations and regulatory requirements.
Quality Control Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control plans, procedures, and guidelines for construction and landscape projects.
- Conduct inspections and audits for compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulations.
- Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to identify and resolve potential quality issues.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to establish quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform on-site inspections of workmanship, materials, and compliance with project specifications.
- Conduct regular checks on construction and landscaping activities against approved plans and quality standards.
- Identify and document non-conformities and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain quality control documentation, including reports, test results, and inspection records.
- Coordinate material testing and maintain accurate test and inspection records.
- Prepare quality control reports for management and project stakeholders.
- Organize documentation for audits and reviews.
- Train project personnel and communicate quality expectations to subcontractors and suppliers.
Qualification
- Diploma in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the construction and landscape industry.
- Relevant quality assurance and quality control certifications.
Compliance and Improvement
- Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the project team.
- Stay informed about relevant construction codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Ensure construction and landscape activities comply with applicable safety and environmental regulations.
