Role Overview
QA/QC Engineer – Civil responsible for quality assurance and quality control across civil construction activities.
The role ensures work complies with approved drawings, specifications, contractual requirements, codes, standards, and authority requirements.
The role is based with the on-site supervision team in Dubai.
Responsibilities
- Develop and monitor QA/QC procedures for civil construction works.
- Review IRs, MIRs, method statements, material submittals, and quality documentation.
- Conduct site inspections and audits covering concrete, reinforcement, formwork, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, and finishes.
- Monitor concrete pouring, testing, sampling, material approvals, and laboratory activities.
- Raise NCRs, manage corrective and preventive actions, and monitor quality issue close-out.
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and UAE authorities.
- Maintain quality records and participate in meetings, audits, snagging, de-snagging, and handover inspections.
- Provide technical guidance, report recurring issues, and promote quality awareness and improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Seven to ten years of QA/QC experience in construction.
- Mandatory civil construction project experience in Dubai or the UAE.
- High-rise or large-scale construction experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of UAE standards, specifications, applicable codes, and quality requirements.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and project-specific Quality Management Plans.
- Experience with civil construction activities and quality documentation, including ITPs, method statements, MIRs, IRs, NCRs, and checklists.
- Experience working with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and UAE authorities.
- Ability to review technical drawings, specifications, material submittals, and quality documentation.
- Strong communication, coordination, inspection, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
