Responsibilities
- Perform daily site quality surveillance to identify, document, and communicate non conformities and quality deficiencies
- Coordinate QA/QC activities for assigned project areas/packages in line with approved project schedule, specifications, ITPs, and contract requirements
- Ensure subcontractors comply with approved ITPs, inspection requirements, and quality procedures while maintaining complete inspection records
- Prepare detailed inspection schedules aligned with the project programme
- Coordinate work inspections with project execution teams, consultants, and subcontractors
- Conduct material inspections using electronic quality management workflows
- Coordinate with execution teams to implement corrective and preventive actions arising from NCRs and quality observations
- Coordinate with Firestop Engineer and monitor Fire & Life Safety (FLS) installations
- Monitor and review weekly and monthly quality deliverables
- Coordinate and conduct snagging and de snagging inspections
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, inspection processes, and quality management systems
- Experience working with consultants, subcontractors, and project execution teams
- Familiarity with electronic inspection and quality management systems is preferred

Position Summary
- Our client is seeking a detail oriented and proactive QA/QC Engineer to support project execution by ensuring all construction activities are completed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for managing assigned work areas/packages, coordinating inspections and testing activities, maintaining quality records, and driving timely closeout of quality documentation while supporting successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance & Quality Control
- Perform daily site quality surveillance to identify, document, and communicate non conformities and quality deficiencies, ensuring corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate QA/QC activities for assigned project areas/packages in line with the approved project schedule, specifications, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and contract requirements.
- Ensure subcontractors comply with approved ITPs, inspection requirements, and quality procedures while maintaining complete inspection records.
- Prepare detailed inspection schedules aligned with the project programme, identifying daily, weekly, and monthly inspection requirements for all assigned activities.
- Coordinate work inspections with project execution teams, consultants, and subcontractors, ensuring all required documentation, inspection records, comments, and post inspection observations are accurately completed.
- Conduct material inspections using electronic quality management workflows to verify compliance with project specifications and approved materials.
- Ensure rejected materials identified during internal or consultant inspections are properly quarantined and removed from site.
Non Conformance & Corrective Actions
- Coordinate with execution teams to implement corrective and preventive actions arising from Non Conformance Reports (NCRs) and quality observations.
- Conduct follow up inspections to verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor NCR closure progress and support timely resolution within project targets.
- Escalate recurring or unjustified consultant comments and rejections that result in unnecessary rework or project delays to the QA/QC Manager.
Fire & Life Safety (FLS)
- Coordinate with the Firestop Engineer and monitor Fire & Life Safety (FLS) installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and authority requirements.
Quality Documentation & Reporting
- Monitor and review weekly and monthly quality deliverables, including planned versus actual inspections, resubmissions, approvals, and outstanding items for assigned packages.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure quality documentation is complete and up to date.
- Prepare quality reports and provide regular updates to the QA/QC Manager.
Snagging & Project Closeout
- Coordinate and conduct snagging and de snagging inspections with subcontractors, execution teams, and consultants using digital snagging tools.
- Ensure all quality closeout requirements are completed before project handover.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, inspection processes, and quality management systems.
- Experience working with consultants, subcontractors, and project execution teams.
- Familiarity with electronic inspection and quality management systems is preferred.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of construction quality standards and QA/QC procedures.
- Thorough understanding of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Work Inspection Requests (WIRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), and NCR management.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent planning, coordination, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
