Role Overview
The QA/QC Manager will lead quality assurance and quality control for high-rise tower construction projects.
The role oversees contractor quality performance from foundation through handover within a consultancy or supervision context.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor the Project Quality Management Plan in line with ISO 9001 and client or consultant requirements.
- Review and approve contractor Inspection Test Plans, method statements, and material submittals.
- Lead audits, inspections, and surveillance across substructure, superstructure, façade, MEP, and finishing works.
- Coordinate Non-Conformance Reports and corrective or preventive actions through closure.
- Oversee material testing and compliance with approved specifications and Dubai authority codes.
- Chair quality review meetings and maintain quality, handover, and close-out documentation.
- Review concrete pours, rebar inspections, and structural quality checkpoints.
- Liaise with testing laboratories and certification bodies.
- Manage site QA/QC staff and support snagging, de-snagging, and Defects Liability Period processes.
- Ensure compliance with Trakhees, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Civil Defence, and other UAE authorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- At least 15 years of QA/QC experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.
- Experience within a consultancy or supervision firm is required.
- High-rise tower construction experience in the UAE is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and UAE construction codes is required.
- Proficiency with Aconex, ACC, or similar quality documentation systems is required.
- Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 is preferred.
