About the Role
Converra Consulting is hiring QA/QC Engineers in Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical disciplines for a major project in Qatar on a 6-month contract (extendable to 1 year).

Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections on civil/structural, mechanical, or electrical works and prepare detailed Site Inspection Reports
- Raise, track, and close out Non Conformance Reports (NCRs)
- Monitor compliance with project quality plans, specifications, and applicable codes/standards
- Manage and facilitate QCDD approval procedures and submissions for relevant works
- Develop, update, and maintain QA/QC dashboards for management reporting
- Identify all pending and outstanding quality items; assess actions required to close each item and develop a structured liquidation plan
- Liaise with site teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure timely resolution of quality issues
- Support internal and external audits and quality reviews
- Maintain accurate quality documentation and records
- Provide regular quality performance reports to project management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (mandatory)
- Minimum 8 years of QA/QC experience in civil/infrastructure, mechanical, or electrical construction projects
- Hands on knowledge of QCDD approval procedures for relevant works
- Demonstrated experience in backlog identification, punch list management, and proactive closeout of quality items
- Strong knowledge of NCR management, site inspections, and quality dashboards
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification preferred
- Currently based in Qatar with transferable visa and NOC from current employer
- Excellent reporting, documentation, and communication skills
- Immediate availability preferred

Key Responsibilities (Civil)
- Conduct site inspections on civil and structural works and prepare detailed Site Inspection Reports

- Conduct site inspections on mechanical works including piping, HVAC, equipment installation and prepare detailed Site Inspection Reports
- Raise, track, and close out Non Conformance Reports (NCRs)
- Monitor compliance with project quality plans, specifications, and applicable codes/standards (ASME, API, NFPA, etc.)
- Manage and facilitate QCDD approval procedures and submissions for mechanical systems
- Develop, update, and maintain QA/QC dashboards for management reporting
- Identify all pending and outstanding quality items; assess actions required to close each item and develop a structured liquidation plan
- Witness and verify pressure testing, hydrostatic testing, and pre commissioning activities
- Liaise with site teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure timely resolution of quality issues
- Support internal and external audits and quality reviews
- Maintain accurate quality documentation and records
- Provide regular quality performance reports to project management
Key Responsibilities (Electrical)
- Conduct site inspections on electrical works including MV/LV systems, cable installations, switchgear, transformers, and lighting systems, and prepare detailed Site Inspection Reports
- Raise, track, and close out Non Conformance Reports (NCRs)
- Monitor compliance with project quality plans, specifications, and applicable codes/standards (IEC, BS, NFPA 70, etc.)
- Manage and facilitate QCDD approval procedures and submissions for electrical systems
- Develop, update, and maintain QA/QC dashboards for management reporting
- Identify all pending and outstanding quality items; assess actions required to close each item and develop a structured liquidation plan
- Witness and verify electrical testing, insulation resistance testing, continuity checks, and pre commissioning activities
- Liaise with site teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure timely resolution of quality issues
- Support internal and external audits and quality reviews
- Maintain accurate quality documentation and records
- Provide regular quality performance reports to project management
Qualification & Experience (Civil)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
