QA/QC Engineer

Role Overview

Compensation

• The salary is AED 10,000–12,000 per month.

Quality Responsibilities

• Prepare and implement the Project Quality Plan, inspection procedures, method statements, and ITPs.
• Review project specifications, IFC drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents.
• Inspect civil, structural, architectural, and finishing works.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, subcontractors, laboratories, and site teams.
• Prepare and submit MIRs, WIRs, and RFIs.
• Monitor incoming materials for compliance with approved samples and submittals.
• Identify nonconforming work, issue NCRs, perform root-cause analysis, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain QA/QC records, inspection reports, test results, calibration certificates, and quality registers.
• Conduct internal quality audits and monitor subcontractor compliance.
• Review laboratory and field test results, including concrete, soil, waterproofing, and other required tests.
• Attend quality and progress meetings and prepare periodic quality reports.
• Support testing, commissioning, snagging, de-snagging, project handover, and closeout documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8–10 years of QA/QC experience in building or infrastructure construction.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, international construction standards, and local authority requirements.
• Proficiency in reviewing drawings, specifications, ITPs, method statements, and material submittals.
• UAE or GCC construction experience is strongly preferred.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification is advantageous.
• Strong reporting, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and relevant document-control or project-management systems.
