Job Overview
Modular General Contracting seeks a Heavy Bus Driver to transport construction workers and staff safely. The role involves operating heavy buses, following transportation schedules, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport construction workers and staff safely between labour accommodation, construction sites, offices, and other assigned locations
- Operate heavy buses safely in accordance with UAE traffic laws and company safety procedures
- Follow daily transportation schedules and ensure workers arrive at project sites on time
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections before and after each trip, including tyres, brakes, lights, fluids, and general vehicle condition
- Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of the assigned bus
- Immediately report any vehicle defects, accidents, breakdowns, or maintenance requirements
- Coordinate with site supervisors, camp bosses, HR/Admin, and Transport Department regarding transportation schedules
- Maintain trip sheets, mileage records, fuel records, and other required transportation documents
- Ensure passenger capacity and safety requirements are strictly followed
- Assist in transportation arrangements for workers during site transfers, medical appointments, airport pick-up/drop-off, and emergency situations when required
- Ensure vehicle registration, insurance, permits, and other required documents are valid and available in the vehicle
- Follow construction site HSE requirements and company policies at all times
