Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the purchasing team and oversee daily procurement activities in line with business requirements.
- Develop and execute purchasing strategies for materials, spare parts, and services based on cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers to maintain a reliable and competitive supplier base for manufacturing.
- Lead commercial negotiations to secure competitive pricing, favorable payment terms, and optimized delivery conditions.
- Manage the full purchase order cycle, including accuracy, approvals, delivery follow-up, and procurement issue resolution.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Quality, and Finance to maintain material availability and avoid production delays.
- Monitor inventory and procurement requirements, anticipate shortages, and implement proactive purchasing plans.
- Establish and monitor supplier performance across cost, quality, lead time, delivery reliability, and compliance.
- Drive cost reduction and process improvement through supplier consolidation, alternative sourcing, and improved practices.
- Prepare procurement reports and KPIs covering purchasing performance, costs, supplier performance, and procurement risks.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of relevant purchasing or procurement experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role within manufacturing.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
- Strong knowledge of purchasing procedures, procurement practices, and inventory management.
