About the Role
The Sky Key Management Consultancy is seeking a Purchasing Officer for the food and beverage industry in Abu Dhabi. The role involves sourcing quality products, negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory, and ensuring timely procurement.

Responsibilities
- Source and purchase food ingredients, beverages, packaging materials, kitchen equipment, and operational supplies
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings while maintaining product quality
- Prepare and process purchase orders in a timely manner
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with kitchen, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure uninterrupted supply
- Track deliveries and follow up with suppliers to ensure orders are received on time
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies with suppliers
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, contracts, and pricing information
- Conduct regular market research to identify new suppliers and competitive pricing
- Ensure all purchased products comply with UAE food safety regulations and company quality standards
- Coordinate with Finance department regarding invoices, payments, and supplier reconciliations
- Monitor purchasing budgets and prepare procurement reports as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in the food and beverage, restaurant, catering, or hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of food products, inventory management, and procurement processes
- Experience working with ERP, inventory management, or procurement software is an advantage
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and supplier relationship management skills
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Valid UAE driving license is an advantage
